Salman Punekar - President, CAMP - Philadelphia

Salman Punekar is the current President of the CAMP Philadelphia chapter.  He has been the president since September 2011, prior to which he was a member of the CAMP NJ chapter since it’s inception.  In the past, Salman served on the finance committee for the Leadership Summit and has participated in the annual CAMP National dinners. 

Salman is a physician by training, having received his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine.  He currently works at a research center at the University of Pennsylvania where he creates and studies models explaining the effects of space radiation on astronauts for NASA.  Additionally, Salman consults for a boutique biotechnology investment bank on medical and scientific issues.  Salman has an undergraduate degree in business and economics from the Sidhu School of Business at Wilkes University where he was a NCAA varsity tennis player.

 Salman enjoys triathlon sports (running, swimming, and cycling) and tennis in his free time.  Salman likes to consider himself an artist, whether in the form of painting, drawing or cooking fabulously tasting meals.

Samia Siddiqui -  CAMP - Philadelphia

Samia Siddiqui is a new member of the CAMP Philly Board. Prior to the joining the CAMP Philly board, she participated in several CAMP activities in Philadelphia and New York including the CAMP Leadership Summit.

Samia has over seven years experience in the pharmaceutical industry with broad experience in clinical development of biologics at start-ups and larger companies. Samia received her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and religious studies from the University of Pennsylvania and a doctorate in biology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. After graduate school she worked at a start up biotech company as a research and regulatory scientist prior to her current position at ImClone Systems. At ImClone Systems, she worked as a Regulatory Strategist within the Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Control department, prior to  transitioning into her current role as a Regulatory Strategist focusing on clinical strategy for oncology trials.

 Samia enjoys spending time outdoors and traveling.

Arshi Quadeer-  CAMP - Philadelphia

Arshi Quadeer is a new member of the CAMP Philadelphia board.  She joined CAMP Philadelphia since 2009 and has become increasingly involved over the years.    

Arshi is a practicing Nephrologist in South Jersey.  She earned her medical degree at the University of Texas at Houston and completed her residency and fellowship at the same institution.  Arshi earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma. 

Outside of her involvement in CAMP, Arshi enjoys reading, exploring the outdoors and engaging in multicultural activities.
