She has attended and volunteered for several CAMP initiatives over the years, including the 2008 and 2009 annual conferences and NYC/Philly chapter events.
Professionally, Shabana has over 10 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Her current focus is in Clinical Research at Merck and Co, Inc. Her expertise lies in study design and measurement, monitoring clinical trial operations, and scientific interpretation and publication of study results. She received an MPH from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ and a BS in Public Health from Rutgers University .
Shabana enjoys spending free time with family and friends, and likes to participate in various humanitarian efforts. Her favorite charities include the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, the American Heart Association, and Muslims against Hunger. >> Top
Imran Eba assumed the position of Deputy Director of CAMP on January 1, 2010 and is a member of the Board of the Directors. Imran has been with CAMP since 2008 when he joined as an officer in the Philadelphia Chapter and went on to become the President of the Chapter in 2009. Imran was also a member of the 2009 CAMP conference organizing committee.
Professionally, Imran has 10 years experience working in the life sciences/pharmaceutical industry in Toronto, London and Philadelphia, working in the areas of business development, acquisitions, financial valuations, risk management and assurance.
He currently lives in the Philadelphia area and works in the business development group of a major pharmaceutical company where he is responsible for negotiating global deals (in-licensing, collaborations and acquisitions) with other pharmaceutical and biotech companies with the goal of finding the medicines of the future. Imran has trained as a Canadian Chartered Accountant and has an undergraduate degree from the John Molson School of Business in Montreal, Canada.
Imran spends his free time attending tea parties with princesses, fairies and his two young daughters. >> Top
Asma Hashmi currently serves as Vice President of the CAMP - Chicago chapter after having previously held various Board positions and served as Advisor.
Asma has over 12 years experience in the human resource and recruiting industry, where she has worked as an independent consultant for several Fortune 500 clients. Her expertise includes recruiting, career counseling, and new-hire orientations.
She is a Founding Board Member and Director of Personal Development for the Muslim Women’s Alliance (MWA), which strives to encourage women to implement the values of Islam by promoting community service, fostering philanthropy, and realizing personal development; she is also actively involved with Inner-city Muslim Action Network (IMAN), a community-based nonprofit that works for social justice by cultivating the arts in urban communities, and is one of the organizing leaders for the urban festival Takin’ it to the Streets.
Asma is currently pursuing a M.A. in Human Performance Improvement at Roosevelt University and has earned a B.S. in Psychology from Loyola University. >> Top
Aamer Hayat is assisting CAMP with special projects as of January 1, 2010. Aamer has been with CAMP since 2005 when he helped form the Los Angeles Chapter. In 2008, he joined as an officer in the New York Chapter and went on to become the Vice President of the Chapter in 2009.
Professionally, Aamer has seven years experience working in the Corporate Tax/Business Consulting industry in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and India. Aamer also has extensive experience consulting not-for-profit health clinics, alumni groups, and community service organizations. Currently, Aamer is pursuing his entrepreneurial goals by developing and managing wellness centers in Central California.
He spends his free time daydreaming about sleeping or being Batman. Aamer earned a J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law and a B.A. in English from UCLA. >> Top
Nazish Huq has been a member of CAMP since 2006. She is working on the Marketing team for the 4th Annual CAMP Leadership Summit.
Nazish has a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from College of NJ and a Master’s of Science in Cell and Developmental Biology. She started working in the pharmaceutical industry as a Clinical Research Associate at Kendle International and worked her way up to Project Management. From Kendle International, Nazish transitioned to Cordis Corporation, a Johnson and Johnson Company and worked as a Program Manager for device trials. Currently, Nazish is a Clinical Project Manager at Enzon Pharmaceuticals managing oncology trials.
Nazish interests include being involved in community activities. For the past two years, she has organized community activities for her cousins during Ramadaan (Family Food Drive for Trenton Soup Kitchen and Baby Food and Clothing Drive for Children’s Home Society). Both events went well and Nazish is working on another activity for Ramadaan 2011. >> Top
Zeba Iqbal assumed the position of Executive Director of CAMP on January 1, 2010; she is also the Chairperson of the Board of Directors. Zeba has been with CAMP since 2005 when she joined as an officer in the New York Chapter. She was the Deputy Director of CAMP between 2007 and 2009; and the Conference Manager of CAMP's 2008 and 2009 conferences.
Zeba has an MBA from The George Washington University, and an undergraduate degree in architecture from Bangalore, India. Professionally, she has over 12 years experience in the real estate industry in the areas of strategy and business consulting, valuation analysis, partnership development, and pre-development and investment analyses. She currently lives in New York City, and works for Princeton University as a program manager for their off-campus real estate development projects. Zeba volunteers with the Muslim Public Affairs Council in 2009, and was a founding member of Muslims Against Terrorism/Muslim Voices for Peace, an organization founded in the aftermath of September 11th. She has also been an advisory committee member for Muslim Americans Answer the Call; Muslim Voices: Arts and Ideas and IMAN@TheApollo.
Zeba was a key member of the PR team promoting the sold out 20-show NYC staging of Wajahat Ali’s play, The Domestic Crusaders which opened on September 11, 2009. Zeba is a 2009-10 Fellow of USC's American Muslim Civic Leadership Institute. AMCLI focuses on empowering people who are trying to elevate the current discourse of engagement within the Muslim community. >> Top
Uzma Kaleem is President of the CAMP - New York chapter after previously serving as Secretary. Uzma has over 10 years of work experience and is currently a Strategic Account Manager for the on demand print solution, Mimeo.com. Her previous work experience includes managing radio advertising sales at ABC Radio, a division of Disney, working in the strategic alliances group at eustar, and conducting field marketing in the technology practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers, focusing on national business development to local markets.
She contributes to CAMP - New York by working with board members to coordinate events including the CAMP’s Eid Dinner, professional networking events, movie screenings, cultural programs and the Annual Leadership Conference.
Outside of her CAMP responsibilities and work with Mimeo, Uzma enjoys being involved with the community whether it is attending a Turning Point charity event or volunteering with NY Cares. Uzma is one of the founding committee members of the Jewish Muslim Volunteer Alliance.

Saima Khan is Vice President of the CAMP - New York chapter after previously serving as Director of Internal and External Affairs.
Saima has over 9 years of work experience and is currently an internal Performance Improvement Consultant for Healthfirst, where her recent projects include corporate-wide program implementations, qualitative root cause analysis, and business process redesign. Previously, she was Business Analyst in the Performance Improvement and Consulting division at TriHealth and Program Manager of SeniorLink, a Medicare program focused on providing home-based healthcare to seniors.
Saima also serves as Board Member of the Muslim Public Affairs Council – New York Office (MPAC-NY); is an active member of the Association of Muslim Health Professionals (AMHP), American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), and the American Society for Quality (ASQ). She has also been recognized by the American Society for Muslim Advancement (ASMA) as a Muslim Leader of Tomorrow.
She actively coordinates and volunteers her time to various community service projects, including soup kitchens, park clean-up efforts, and fundraising for food pantries.
Saima earned an M.H.S.A. and an M.B.A from Xavier University and a B.S. in Psychology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She is also a certified Six Sigma Blackbelt. >> Top
Omar Khawaja, with over a decade of experience in the development and management of enterprise security solutions, Omar Khawaja runs product management and marketing for Verizon's global security consulting business.
Over the past year, Khawaja has been focused on building Verizon's data protection and healthcare security practices. Khawaja has an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from Georgia Tech and an MBA from the Darden School of Business. >> Top
Salman has an undergraduate background in business and economics from Wilkes University. After a stint in investment management and financial services, Salman entered medical school at the Drexel University College of Medicine. Now, almost ready to graduate, Salman is pursuing the specialty of Radiation Oncology and will be starting as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Pennsylvania this May.

Yusef Ramelize serves as the current Outreach Director of the CAMP - New York Chapter.
Yusef has over 8 years of work experience and is currently a Production and Creative Manager at Informa Healthcare. He manages one of Informa's largest monthly magazines, (BioProcess International) which covers the entire bio-pharmaceutical process from discovery to development and manufacturing.
Yusef is also the Founder and Project Director of HomelessForOneWeek.com, an annual initiative that he started in 2009 to raise awareness about homelessness in New York City. In the Summer of 2010, Yusef was nominated as NY1 News Queens Person Of The Week for his charitable efforts in shedding light on Homelessness. Homeless For One Week was also featured in the NYDaily News, RT News, The Village Voice, ELAN Magazine, Arabnews.com, America.gov and DNAinfo.com

Salima Rashid is the President of Council for the Advancement of Muslim Professionals, Philadelphia chapter.
In addition to her duties with CAMP Philadelphia, Salima is the Founder and CEO of Evolve Litigation Solutions, LLC., which provides legal services and staffing in the Delaware Valley area. Prior to establishing her own company, over the past twelve years Salima worked as a Senior Litigation Specialist with the United States Attorney's Office, Eastern District of Pennsylvania and as a Senior Litigation Paralegal for several prestigious national law firms.
In addition to her professional career, Salima volunteers as the Special Events Coordinator for the Nicetown Community Development Corporation, a Philadelphia-based initiative involved in neighborhood revitalization and community redevelopment efforts. Salima is also actively involved in the political process within the Philadelphia – Delaware Valley region, contributing her expertise and talents to local political organizations and campaigns.

Sheheryar Sardar serves as the current Secretary of the CAMP - New York Chapter.
Sheheryar has over 8 years of experience and is currently a Partner at Sardar Law Firm LLC, where he practices corporate, civil litigation, private equity and election law. He has advised clients of varied backgrounds, including companies involved in emerging technologies, alternative energy and media development. Prior to starting his firm, Sheheryar worked at The Coca-Cola Company in its Marketing-Legal Division; Cisco Company - Scientific Atlanta, assisting legal counsel with broadband expansion; Kriz & Belina, a leading Prague-based commercial law firm and the U.S. Department of Labor, where he worked on complex labor litigation cases.
He is currently a nominated board member of the International Trade Committee of the NYC Bar Association, serving a three-year appointment. In addition, his community service activities included organizing Know Your Rights seminars post-9/11 with federal agencies, lobbying for child welfare reform at the Georgia General Assembly, and counseling families at Raksha, Inc., a domestic abuse organization in Atlanta.

Asma Shafi is a freelance and full-time graphic designer with over 10 years experience in various industries including finance, law, entertainment and advertising.

Afsheen Shamsi is Vice President of CAMP NJ. Afsheen attended the CAMP Leadership Summit in 2009 and the 2010 CAMP Panels at ISNA and became an avid fan of CAMP. She helped to start up the CAMP NJ chapter and is the Sponsorship Lead for the 2011 CAMP Leadership Summit along with Asma Hashmi.
Afsheen spearheads Philanthropia Consulting LLC which focuses on helping non-profits with fundraising and board development. Prior to owning her own business, Afsheen worked in the non-profit sector for several years including at CAIR-NJ and the Crisis Assistance Ministry in North Carolina. Afsheen also served as an Advisor to the Permanent Mission of Pakistan to the United Nations working on issues related to development and immigration. She holds degrees in International Studies, Political Science and Economics. She is currently pursuing a certification in fundraising.
Afsheen serves on the Princeton Human Services Commission. She has recently been elected to the Board of the Princeton Community Democratic Organization. She ran for the Princeton School Board in 2010 and is running again this year. Afsheen volunteers for Princeton Education Foundation and the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen. >> Top
Samia Siddiqui has over six years experience in the pharmaceutical industry with broad experience in clinical development of biologics at start-ups and larger companies. Samia has a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of Pennsylvania and a doctorate in biology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology After graduate school she worked at a start up biotech company as a research and regulatory scientist prior to her current position at ImClone Systems.
At ImClone Systems, she worked as a Regulatory Strategist within the Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Control department, prior to transitioning into her current role as a Regulatory Strategist focusing on clinical strategy for oncology trials. >> Top
Talha Siddiqui has recently received a PhD in Organic Chemistry from New York University with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Bryn Mawr College. She is currently a freelance teacher in the New York City area. She has over seven years experience teaching college level courses. Currently she is pursuing a jobs in the scientific industry. >> Top
Sabrina Qureshi currently serves as the Treasurer of CAMP and is a member of the Board of Directors. Sabrina is also serving as the President of CAMP Chicago. She joined CAMP in 2006 as an events planner for the CAMP Chicago Chapter. Sabrina was the Assistant Conference Manager of the 2009 CAMP conference and was the Sponsorship Manager for the 2008 conference.
Professionally, Sabrina is a Research Operations Specialist for a financial research firm in Chicago with 6 years of experience in the financial industry. Sabrina is responsible for streamlining processes while maintaining strict quality control. In her previous role Sabrina worked as a Senior Market Data Analyst and took on the responsibility of project management and employee training. She graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2003 with a degree in Finance.
